Our Girls: A Look Back

My first parti-colored cocker spaniel was a very special, chocolate tri-colored girl named "BonBon"

 Ging's Choco-Coated BonBon, CGC, TDI

What a blessing she was - flower dog at my wedding, friend to all...when she passed away at 12-1/2 years old the outpouring of cards, letters, and emails from people she had touched was overwhelming.

You are always in our hearts, sweet BonBon!

"Gigi"

was our first red/white Champion girl

We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of our beloved "Gigi"

The great-grandmother of our current "star" Iris and great-great grandmother to our new pups, she was a very special girl.  She inspired the painting below which was published with a poem "Gigi in Winter" in laJoie magazine's Winter 2015 issue.

"Liza"

OFA Good, CERF Clear, Thyroid Clear

Liza had an impressive show career beginning with top Futurity placement as a pup at the ASC Specialty and going on to thrilling Sweeps wins and a 5-point major WB at the Cocker Spaniel Club of NJ show. (Shown above with Tracy Lynn Carroll handling)

Missed and loved every single day. Liza  passed away January 14, 2012 at 10-1/2 and has left behind a legacy of love and caring. The mother of Desiree, Boomer, Giselle, and grandmother to Iris and Lily, great grand mother to Bolt and Audrey, Liza was the ultimate sweetheart and true matriarch of our home.

She visited hospices, schools, libraries, and senior centers as a Canine Ambassador and is deeply, dearly missed each day.

Liza inspired so many pieces of artwork and continues inspiring me every day. Liza inspired this painting, below.

"Desiree"

OFA Good, CERF Clear, Thyroid Clear, PRA DNA Clear

Desiree was finished to her Championship in 2 weekends with all majors by

Jessica Brickett. She completed her CGC with Debi September, 2010!

Desiree lived with a wonderful, loving family near the beach.

We miss her dearly since her passing last year
